Citrix recently released XenApp/XenDesktop 7.6 Feature Pack 1, and one of the release’s key items is a new Platinum-only feature, Session Recording. Session Recording is akin to the old SmartAuditor, which records mouse and keyboard activities within user sessions.
Citrix Receiver X1 is finally coming to fruition! At Synergy 2014, Citrix announced Receiver X1 and provided an impressive demo, but until recently, it appeared that it was another one of those announcements that was destined to fall into a black hole.

On Monday I previewed the 2015 NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC) calling it the biggest VDI conference of the year. Well it has more than lived up to that billing with some of the most eye-opening sessions on desktop virtualization that I have seen for years. Not only were there more VDI sessions than there were at both Citrix Synergy and VMworld last year, but the technical depth of the sessions appeared to be greater than most of those seen at VMworld and Synergy in recent years. It’s hard to believe, but this week’s NVIDIA showcase, the GPU Technology Conference (GTU), might be the biggest VDI conference of the year.
