Oracle sues Google over Android and Java, Microsoft Smiles, VMware Grimaces

Oracle has sued Google over Google's development of a Java compatible JVM in the Android operating systems called Dalvik. This has the potential to have impacts outside of the smart phone industry as VMware is basing its entire applications platform strategy on a Java compatible JVM developed by SpringSource.
