AppSense
Tailored Policy
Policy configuration is applied to a desktop at start-up/shutdown or logon/logoff, and includes such settings as drive and printer mappings and default properties for personal settings such as screen resolution.
Policy must be tailored, primarily by employee role, since corporate policy is not the same for everyone. This tailored policy can be applied ‘on-demand’ to set up a dynamically created or pooled desktop and is persisted across desktop sessions. By eliminating the traditional means of policy management, such as complex and cumbersome scripting, desktops can be set-up more quickly and maintained more easily.
User Personalization
Ensure that personal changes made to the desktop environment are persisted across virtual desktop sessions and across delivery mechanisms.
AppSense Environment Manager eliminates the need for user profiles by utilizing registry and file virtualization to automatically monitor the user session and identify personalization changes.
These changes are cached locally on the physical or virtual desktop and synchronized with a central server. Since this personalization data is stored independently of the delivered desktop, it can be applied ‘on-demand’ to the desktop.
